Life and public service

Iqbal Hasan Mahmud, known as Tuku, is associated with Sirajganj politics. BSS records his higher education at Dhaka University, participation in the 1971 Liberation War and election to Parliament on multiple occasions. He served on the BNP standing committee. His business career includes presidency of the Dhaka Chamber and directorships in industrial and export enterprises.
