Information we collect

When you submit feedback, we collect the name and email address you provide (optional), category, subject, message and related page address. We also send the server-observed IP address, submission time, form language, browser User-Agent (which may describe the browser and operating system), preferred languages and a relevant public referring path to the editorial team’s designated mailbox. Browser-reported information may not be accurate.

Why we use this information

We use this information to review feedback, correct information, reply where appropriate, investigate technical issues and prevent spam or abuse. Feedback, contact details and technical information are not automatically published.

Email and service providers

Messages are sent through the hosting email system to the editorial mailbox. Website hosting and email providers may process information to deliver messages and operate security services. The form does not create a public comment or social media post.

Cookies and security

Necessary session cookies support secure form submission and administrator login. Login security also uses a browser-identifier cookie and IP-based attempt and block records. After three failed sign-ins, IP and browser blocks may remain until a Super Admin removes them. The browser identifier is not a hardware identifier.

Feedback emails do not automatically include passwords, cookies, session tokens, private browsing history or precise location. Query strings are removed from related-page references.

Retention and deletion

Full feedback messages are not stored in the application database; they remain in the editorial mailbox and are reviewed and deleted as needed. Short hashed counters used to limit spam expire after two hours and are removed on subsequent submissions or maintenance runs. Maintenance removes expired recovery tokens and login-attempt records older than 30 days; permanent blocks and necessary audit records are retained separately. The normal backup policy retains the latest two completed backups; recovery safety copies may be temporarily protected. Hosting and email providers may apply their own retention policies.

External links and embedded video

Following source links or playing externally embedded video involves the relevant provider’s privacy practices. Those providers may receive IP and browser information or use their own cookies.

Your requests

Use the feedback form to ask about, correct or request deletion of information associated with your submission. Include its reference number where available. Do not send passwords or identity documents.
